I knew when I turned 50 I was going BIG! I started planning 9 months prior to my birthday thinking through every single detail. I wanted each guest to leave the party stating one thing….”This was THE BEST party I have ever been to!”. And my goal absolutely came true! I’m eager to share every detail of this special celebration with you so you can experience the magic of that night with me.
I asked the guests to wear formal, all white outfits and they looked absolutely stunning! They had so much fun figuring out the perfect outfit and were anticipating a great party! For myself, I wanted to stand out and be completely different so I decided to wear the opposite of white. I began the evening by having my hair and makeup done by the talented Jessika Paige and Kohnur. The bash was themed as an all-white party, except for me. I wanted three different looks for the night featuring my favorite designer brands Christian Siriano, La Pointe, and Alice + Olivia.
For my first outfit I went full on couture! I met with THE Christian Soriano in Dallas, Tx to come up with the perfect dress, fabric and color. The pink, puffy sleeve dress turned out incredible for my first look, proving to all you can still be 50 and fabulous! I felt like a million bucks! I made a grand entrance with Joe looking incredibly dashing in his custom all-white suit.

Upon arrival, the cars were valeted. The guests walked in on the runway posing for a professional picture they could use as a keepsake. They were greeted with specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a DJ playing light EDM music in the background. They were then guided to the outdoor deck where an electric violinist created the perfect atmosphere to watch the sunset all together.
After sunset, the guest were treated to a 6 liter Methuselah bottle of Jay Z’s Ace of Spades Rose Champagne being served over a champagne tower! That was a site let me tell you! We turned up the DJ as the guests ate caviar, lamb chops, cups of lobster bisque, crab cakes, and much more. The food had to be superb!
Joe then showed the most adorable slideshow and presented me with the sweetest, most sincere toast a wife could ever imagine. (I heart him so much).
After the toast, I went upstairs to change into my second outfit. My second outfit was a LaPointe lime, ostrich feather skirt and blouse paired with, once again, a Christian Soriano couture feather cape I paired it with. It was longer than my high heels, so while dancing I had to be careful not to fall over and trip….which I actually pulled off with ease.
When I returned to the dance floor, I was surprised to see the champagne servers doubling as hip-hop dancers! They entertained us with a choreographed hip-hop routine, and soon we joined in on the dance floor fun. The party definitely turned up a notch or two after this! The DJ played old school hip-hop and so of course I made a playlist for your next event (all non-explicit)! We had the time of my life getting down and funky to these songs!!

An hour later, I once again snuck away for the third outfit change for the grand finale! My third outfit I wanted to come out in a disguise of some sort. So I bought an incredibly high quality, red wig (made with real hair) and paired it with an Alice and Olivia leather jacket and mini skirt. (I had to bring out the fishnet hose obvi!)
I rode into the great room on an actual VESPA, revving up with smoke behind me while carrying a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne with sparklers! Several of my friends and my own mother literally had no idea that was me! I hopped off, showed off my own hip-hop dancing skills with the dancers, cut the cake, and partied on Wayne!!!
The party was absolutely EPIC!!! Here’s the funny part looking back. The next day I asked several people what their favorite part of the party was? Several friends said it was the surprise sliders and tater tots I served at the very end of the night! Hahaha. (Food is really all it takes for people to have a good time!)
