This year’s Christmas party was, without a doubt, one for the books—and I have to say, the winter wonderland theme might just be my favorite yet! From the first twinkling snowflake to the final cocktail, everything about the evening was pure magic.
One of the highlights for me was seeing everyone’s outfits—especially the ladies in their sparkly dresses! Every year, it’s amazing to see how the guests outdo themselves with their style and creativity. The excitement of dressing up and anticipating the next theme really adds to the fun.
The first surprise of the evening came in the form of a special guest: Santa himself! He made quite the entrance, and needless to say, his presence had everyone in fits of laughter. Santa handed out “naughty or nice” ornaments, which added even more joy to the room.
But the real fun started when my friends (and I!) started flirting with him, sitting on his lap, and giving him cheeky kisses on the cheek. His reactions were priceless, and he was such a good sport about it.
One of the funniest moments of the night came when Santa finally took a break from his duties. He plopped down on the couch next to me, his cheeks still rosy from all the holiday cheer, and with a twinkle in his eye, he sighed and said, “I’m getting too old for this sh*t.” I nearly died laughing. Classic Santa.
Now, let’s talk about the food—because it was absolutely phenomenal. If you’re planning a party, here’s a huge tip: Add Late Night Snacks! It’s always a guest favorite, and they’ll be talking about it the next day.
I had another surprise up my sleeve that no one saw coming: dueling pianos! The crowd was so into it—singing along, dancing, and just having a blast. Of course, being from Texas, we had to play Cotton Eye Joe before the night was over, and the energy was off the charts.
As we close out the year, I’ve been thinking about what to wear for New Year’s Eve! My friends and I are heading to a local jazz restaurant to eat, drink, and dance the night away, and we’ve been texting back and forth about outfits. I’ve done a little online shopping and wanted to share some of my favorite looks with you, just in time for the celebration. You can also do what I do and buy them now while they’re on sale and just wear them next holiday season. After all, if it’s on sale…it doesn’t count!
For me, it’s all about quality dresses that last—and, of course, sparkle! These are my favorite looks and links I’d love to share.
And speaking of the new year, I’d love to hear about your New Year’s resolutions! I’m planning a blog next week where I’ll be discussing the good, the bad, and the truths behind resolutions. Stay tuned!
Here’s to a joyful, sparkly, and blessed new year ahead!
“If anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things: all that is true, holy, just, pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise!”

(A huge thank you to 24 Carats Catering for making sure we all felt like we were dining at a Michelin-star restaurant. Every dish was a masterpiece, and I think we all left with full hearts (and stomachs).)
