“Someone asked me, if I were stranded on a desert island what book would I bring……”How to Build a Boat.” 🙂 This summer Joe and I have had the pleasure of several boating experiences! This got me reminiscing on all the fun boat days we have had over the years. On my phone I went to my photos and casually typed in the word “BOAT”. The neat thing about our phones is it will pull up all kinds of images from just one single word. I was literally BLOWN AWAY by all the fantastic memories that pulled up! Some were of us on a romantic get-away like Hawaii, Australia, and Indonesia. There were others with family and friends in destinations like the Caribbean, France, and Italy. And of course, so many on the lake in Texas and the California Coast. Come row-row-row your boat with me checking out some pics and videos!
Let’s start off with the experiences from this past year! My 51st birthday party was on a yacht we rented! It was incredibly fun. We had our own personal chef on board, the music turned up, and the caviar and champagne were poppin! I also had several yacht trips with friends, as well as renting the cutest duffy boats in Newport Coast.
Memory lane highlights: If you ask me what was my favorite memory that popped up I would tell you it was seven years ago on a remote island in Sumba, Indonesia. Joe and I were taken on the most remote part of the island on a boat where we were taught how to spear fish. The local tribesman cooked the fish by using only all natural materials. They carved the knife out of bamboo, hit two rocks together to create a fire, and we literally sat there in awe sharing this fabulous fresh meal with them. (We still drank beer of course! lol)
Some other fun trips on the water were learning how to scuba dive in Costa Rica, fleet week on the San Francisco bay with the Blue Angels flying right over us, and snorkeling Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Well, actually, the experience in Australia might’ve been my fave. :). We literally took a helicopter over the Great Barrier Reef, landed on a private barge, and continued on a boat where we snorkeled the reef. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything more beautiful!
Well you know me….I can’t do an entire blog without talking about fashion! My personal favorite looks are 1000% YACHT DAYS! Yachts scream luxury! Imagine pulling up in a harbor in Newport Beach, Saint Barths, or Saint Tropez! Think linens from Brunello Cuccineli, fashion finds from Dolce & Gabbana, and chic, hand-woven coverups! Yes Please!

Thanks for joining me in these wonderful experiences I have had over the years! “Those who go down to the sea in ships and explore the great waters see the works of the LORD and His wonders in the deep.” Psalm 107:23.
To God be the glory!
